Piret holds Ph.D. in biomedical technology. Her specialty is chemistry, and she works at the University of Tartu on several scientific projects since 2009. She has more than ten years of experience in manufacturing field leading sales and marketing teams of Estiko Plastar AS and Valga LT AS.

Vahur Zadin
Board Member

Vahur Zadin has a background in applied physics (2008, M.Sc.) and physical engineering (2012, Ph.D.). He has worked two years in Uppsala and Helsinki universities, five months at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Starting from 2012, he is Estonian team leader in the CTF3 experiment at CERN. Vahur is currently working at the University of Tartu as materials science researcher.

Kent Langel

Kent finished his M.Sc. in 2011 in Chemistry and earned a Ph.D. degree in 2014 in Biomedicine. From 2007 until 2014 he worked as a specialist at the University of Tartu and from 2008 until 2010 at he biotech company Cepep Eesti OÜ. Since 2014, Kent is a project leader at the Lanlab OÜ, an organization providing medical and laboratory equipment, and since 2015 active in the NPO Bioway Estonia.

Petri-Jaan Lahtvee

Petri defended his Master’s degree (cum laude) in 2008 in Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology at the Tallinn University of Technology and continued with Ph.D. studies in Chemistry, while he was also responsible leading an industrial collaboration project with DuPont. After finishing his Ph.D. in 2012, Petri joined the Systems and Synthetic Biology lab at the Chalmers University of Technology as a postdoctoral fellow, group led by Prof Jens Nielsen. In 2016, Petri returned to Estonia, where he is an ERA Chair holder and leading a Synthetic Biology group at the University of Tartu.
